Monitoring performance during runs to catch malfunctions, defects, or inefficiencies
Quality checks — inspecting output against specs, using tools like calipers or gauges
Troubleshooting minor issues and performing basic repairs or adjustments
Routine maintenance — cleaning, lubricating, replacing parts to prevent breakdowns
Recording data — logging production counts, downtime, defects, or maintenance activity.
