Painter

Core responsibilities

Prepare surfaces: clean, scrape, sand, patch, caulk, pressure wash, remove old coatings and loose material.
Apply coatings: primers, paints, stains, sealants, fireproofing, waterproofing using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
Masking/protecting: cover floors, fixtures, windows, and adjacent surfaces; set up drop cloths, tape, and barriers.
Finish work: touch-ups, specialty finishes (glazes, faux finishes), color matching, and trim/door/window painting.
Setup and operate access equipment: ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts; follow fall-protection procedures.
Quality control: inspect finishes, ensure even coverage and proper film build, fix defects.

Requirements includes: attention to detail and pride in finish quality.
Time management and reliability.
Communication with team and clients.
Ability to work in a team and take direction from foreperson.
Physical stamina and comfort working at heights or in confined spaces.
