Primary responsibilities includes:
Load, unload, carry and place materials, tools, and equipment.
Prepare and clean job sites: remove debris, set up and remove temporary structures (fencing, barriers).
Dig trenches, backfill, compact soil, spread gravel, and assist with concrete pouring and finishing.
Assist carpenters, electricians, plumbers, masons, and other trades with basic tasks.
Operate basic hand and power tools (shovels, picks, hammers, compactors, saws) safely.
Mix, pour, and spread concrete, mortar, or asphalt as directed.
Erect, level, and brace scaffold and shoring under supervision (when trained).
Maintain tools and equipment; report defects or safety hazards.
Follow site safety procedures, use PPE, and participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Required skills and attributes:
Physical fitness and stamina; able to lift frequently (commonly 25–50+ lbs) and perform repetitive tasks.
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Teamwork, punctuality, and reliability.
Good communication for following directions and reporting hazards.
