Core Responsibilities:
Installing and maintaining electrical distribution systems, generators, transformers, switchgear, and motors
Fault-finding and repairing electrical faults, often under time pressure since downtime is costly
Testing and inspecting equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards (e.g., ATEX/hazardous area regulations for oil & gas)
Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings
Working with control systems, instrumentation, and sometimes PLCs
Performing planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and responding to breakdown maintenance.
