Core responsibilities:
Supervise daily electrical work: installations, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance.
Plan, assign and monitor team tasks; manage manpower and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications (NEC/IEC/BS/locally applicable).
Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, schematics.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, QA/QC, procurement, and other trades.
Perform quality inspections, witness tests, and sign-offs.
Maintain work records: material usage, permit logs, test reports, shift handovers.
Implement and enforce HSE procedures; conduct toolbox talks and safety audits.
Diagnose and resolve electrical faults; escalate complex issues to engineering.
Required qualifications & education
Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Strong knowledge of power distribution, motor control, switchgear, protection relays, transformers, grounding.
Ability to read electrical drawings, cable schedules, panel layouts and PLC/automation basics.
Familiar with testing equipment (multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester, relay test sets).
Competent with permits-to-work, lockout/tagout, and confined-space procedures.
Basic computer skills for reporting and test-data logging.
