Electrician

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in residential, commercial, or industrial settings while complying with codes and safety standards.

Core responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Install, assemble, maintain, and repair electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, control systems, outlets, switchgear, conduit runs).
Run conduit and install wiring for new construction and retrofit projects.
Troubleshoot electrical faults using meters and test equipment; diagnose and repair circuits, motors, panels, and PLCs (as applicable).
Install and maintain lighting systems, emergency power, grounding/earthing systems, and surge protection.
Perform code-compliant terminations, splices, and load calculations; ensure proper phasing and balancing.
Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections on electrical equipment and systems.

Required qualifications, Skills & competencies:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical school preferred; Solid electrical theory and practical wiring skills
Ability to read blueprints and single-line diagrams
Proficient with multimeters, clamp meters, megohmmeters, voltage testers, and circuit tracers
Knowledge of conduit bending and cable pulling techniques
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork; dependable and punctual.
