Implements, and maintains the organization’s health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs to prevent injuries, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a safety-first culture. They lead risk assessments, incident investigations, training, audits, and continuous improvement of safety performance.
Core responsibilities:
Develop, implement and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs aligned with applicable laws and best practices (OSHA, local regulations).
Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identifications, and risk assessments; implement corrective actions.
Lead incident/near-miss investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective/preventive measures.
Plan and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and onboarding safety orientations.
Manage permit-to-work processes, emergency response plans, and drills.
Coordinate with operations, HR, facilities, and contractors to ensure safety compliance.
Required qualifications & skills
High school Diploma or equivalent, Strong analytic and root-cause investigation skills.
Excellent written/verbal communication and training delivery skills.
Leadership and ability to influence operational teams.
Attention to detail and process-orientation.
Project management and change-management capability.
Comfortable with data: dashboards, incident metrics, and trend analysis.
