Reduce mean time to detect/repair (MTTD/MTTR) via monitoring, alerting, runbooks, and automation.
Build and maintain observability: metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, alerts.
Automate deployments and operational runbooks (CI/CD pipelines, infra-as-code).
Capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
Conduct postmortems with blameless root-cause analysis and drive remediation.
Harden systems for security, backups, and compliance.
Collaborate with engineers to improve service reliability and make systems self-healing.
Maintain documentation (runbooks, runbook playbooks, run-level ownership).
Required skills & Qualification includes; High school Diploma, Strong Linux systems experience and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing).
Experience with at least one public cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) and IaaS concepts.
Containerization and orchestration (Docker + Kubernetes).
Infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation/ARM).
CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD).
Monitoring & observability: Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, or equivalent.
