Carpenter

Core responsibilities;

Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
Lay out, measure, mark, and cut materials (lumber, plywood, drywall, metals).
Build and assemble frameworks, forms, scaffolding, and structures (walls, floors, roofs).
Install doors, windows, cabinets, trim, mouldings, and staircases (finish carpentry).
Erect and finish concrete forms and install rebar (when required).
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively (saws, drills, nail guns, routers, planers).
Perform site preparation and clean-up; load/unload materials.

Required skills & attributes;

Technical: measurement, layout, cutting, joining, fastening, surface finishing.
Tool proficiency: circular saw, miter saw, table saw, jigsaw, drill, nail gun, chisels, planes, levels, squares.
Blueprint reading and basic math (fractions, dimensions, geometry).
Physical stamina, strength, good hand-eye coordination.
Attention to detail (especially for finish carpentry).
Problem solving and ability to adapt on-site.
Communication and teamwork.
