Primary responsibilities:
Start, operate, monitor, and shut down production equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Set up machines for runs (changeover), load/unload materials, and make basic adjustments to maintain process stability.
Perform in-process quality inspections, document results, and escalate deviations to leads/engineers.
Maintain required production rates, meet schedule targets, and minimize waste/scrap.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and cleaning; identify and report abnormal equipment behaviour or faults.
Typical qualifications & skills
High school Diploma or equivalent, Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate shop tools and gauges.
Comfortable reading work orders, labels, SOPs, and basic drawings.
Attention to detail and consistent quality focus.
Good manual dexterity and stamina for standing/moving during shift work.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work in a team.
