Driller

Operate drilling equipment (drill floor, hoisting, rotary equipment, mud pumps, BOP control systems) according to the drilling program.
Supervise and coordinate the rig crew (roughnecks, derrickhands, motormen, crane operators) during drilling, tripping, casing, and well-control operations.
Monitor drilling parameters (ROP, torque, pump pressure, weight on bit, mud properties) and report deviations to the toolpusher/engineer.
Execute safe tripping operations, make/break connections, and run casing/tubing as instructed.
Conduct pre-shift/toolbox safety meetings and enforce HSE rules and permit-to-work systems.
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on rig equipment; log maintenance activities.

Required skills & qualifications

Mechanical aptitude and hands-on rig experience.
Proven experience working on drilling rigs (typical hiring: former roustabout/roughneck → assistant driller → driller).
Ability to read and follow drilling programs, schematics, and technical directives.
Strong leadership, communication, and crew-management skills.
Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in adverse weather.
Good situational awareness and decision-making under pressure.
