Forklift Operator

Core responsibilities:

Load and unload trucks and containers; secure loads to prevent shifting.
Stack, stage, and organize inventory by SKU, lot, or production order.
Conduct pre‑shift and post‑shift equipment inspections; report defects and take out-of-service units.
Follow documented procedures for product handling, weight limits, and storage locations.
Use handheld scanners, RF devices, or warehouse management systems (WMS) to scan receipts, pick tickets, and update inventory.
Keep work area clean and safe; follow lockout/tagout and other site-specific safety rules.
Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory, and receiving/packing as required.

Required skills and attributes

Strong attention to safety and detail; spatial awareness and good hand–eye coordination.
Basic math skills (counting, weighing, simple addition/subtraction).
Ability to read labels, pick lists, and basic work instructions.
Comfortable using handheld scanners/computers or willing to learn WMS workflows.
Teamwork, punctuality, reliability, and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
