Rigger

Key responsibilities:

Inspect, select, and install slings, shackles, hoists, spreader bars, and other rigging hardware.
Plan lifts, calculate load weights/center of gravity, determine sling angles and capacities.
Communicate lift signals and coordinate with crane operators and crew.
Attach/detach loads, guide placement, and secure equipment in final position.
Maintain and inspect rigging equipment; tag and remove defective gear.

Skills & qualifications:  High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude, spatial awareness, and math (load calculations).
Physical fitness; able to climb, lift, and work at heights.
Teamwork, clear radio/hand-signalling communication.
