Supervision & staffing Supervise laundry staff and assign daily tasks/shifts
Train new employees and coach performance
Monitor attendance, productivity, and workflow
Operational control Ensure proper sorting of items (e.g., colours, fabrics, soiled levels)
Oversee washing cycles, drying, pressing/folding (if applicable)
Maintain workflow for pickup, processing, packaging, and delivery
Quality assurance Check cleanliness standards and rewash/resolve issues
Ensure correct handling to prevent damage (tears, fading, shrinkage).
Required Qualifications & skills
High school Diploma or equivalent, Leadership and team management
Strong attention to detail (quality checks, correct sorting)
Time management and ability to meet turnaround deadlines
Basic computer skills for logs/inventory systems (if used)
Communication skills (with staff and other departments).
