Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Greeting customers, taking drink (and sometimes food) orders, making recommendations, and upselling specials or premium items.
Preparing and serving drinks accurately—mixing cocktails according to recipes, pouring beer/wine, free-pouring or measuring spirits, and garnishing for presentation.
Checking IDs to verify legal drinking age and monitoring patrons for signs of intoxication; refusing service or arranging safe transport when needed to comply with laws and limit liability.
Processing payments (cash, cards, tabs) using POS systems, balancing the register, and handling change accurately.
Key Skills: Knowledge of classic and modern cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine; accurate measuring/pouring; POS proficiency; basic math for transactions and inventory; food safety/sanitation awareness, also Strong customer service and communication; multitasking and speed under pressure; attentiveness and observation,
