Key responsibilities:
Set up and level crane per manufacturer and site requirements.
Read and interpret load charts, lift plans, blueprints, and rigging diagrams.
Operate controls to lift, move, and position loads, maintaining stability and clearances.
Select and arrange rigging, slings, hooks, blocks and taglines; attach loads securely.
Work with signalperson/rigger to perform complex lifts using standard hand and radio signals.
Maintain accurate lift logs and documentation (lift plans, inspections, maintenance records).
Follow site-specific safety, traffic, and exclusion zone procedures.
Coordinate with supervisors, site managers, and other trades to sequence lifts.
Perform basic routine maintenance (lubrication, fluid checks) and call out repairs.
