Key Responsibilities:
Install and maintain electrical wiring, circuits, and electrical components
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
Diagnose electrical problems (fault-finding) and replace damaged parts
Test electrical systems using tools/meters (multimeters, megohm meters, etc.)
Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety regulations
Maintain tools, follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and use PPE
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
Work with low-voltage systems (depending on employer): alarms, CCTV, data wiring, etc.
