Well Planning & Design: Develop drilling programs, including wellbore trajectory, casing design, bit selection, and drilling fluid (mud) programs
Cost Estimation: Prepare AFEs (Authorization for Expenditure) and budgets for drilling operations
Rig Operations Support: Provide technical guidance to rig site personnel (company man, drilling supervisor) during operations
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks such as kicks, stuck pipe, lost circulation, and wellbore instability
Equipment Selection: Choose drilling rigs, bits, BHA (bottom hole assembly), and other tools suited to well conditions
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure operations meet safety and environmental regulations
Data Analysis: Review daily drilling reports, monitor performance metrics (ROP, NPT), and troubleshoot issues in real time.
