Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Read and follow blueprints, building plans, and specifications.
Measure, mark, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand and power tools.
Construct and install frameworks such as walls, floors, roofs, doorframes, and stairs.
Install fixtures including windows, doors, molding, trim, cabinets, and hardware.
Build concrete forms, scaffolding, and temporary structures.
Inspect work for accuracy, level, plumb, and code compliance; repair or replace damaged sections.
Select materials, estimate quantities, and sometimes direct helpers or laborers.
