Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces before painting: cleaning, sanding, scraping old paint, filling holes/cracks, applying primer
Select and mix paints, stains, and finishes to match specifications or desired colour
Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
Protect surrounding areas (floors, furniture, fixtures) with drop cloths, tape, and masking
Estimate the amount of paint/materials needed for a job
Read blueprints or specifications for large commercial/industrial jobs
Set up and work safely from ladders, scaffolding, or lifts for high areas.
