Cleaner

Core responsibilities / duties

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure safe, sanitary, and orderly conditions in assigned areas (offices, commercial properties, residential units, schools, hospitals, etc.). Follow cleaning schedules, safety procedures, and supervisor instructions.

Perform periodic deep-clean tasks (stripping/waxing floors, shampooing carpets).
Move light furniture and equipment to access areas to be cleaned.
Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damage to supervisor.

Required skills and attributes

Ability to follow written/ verbal instructions and cleaning checklists.
Basic physical fitness: able to stand, bend, lift (typically up to 20–25 kg) and perform repetitive tasks.
Time management and reliability — punctual and able to work scheduled shifts (may include early mornings, evenings, weekends).
Basic reading skills to follow labels, safety data sheets, and checklists.
