Construction Labourer

Core duties and responsibilities:

Material handling: load/unload, move and store materials (lumber, concrete, blocks, piping) using manual methods or simple equipment.
Assist trades: hold/position materials, mix and pour concrete, compact soil, assist carpenters/masons/electricians/plumbers as directed.
Operate/basic maintenance of hand and power tools: drills, saws, jackhammers, compactors, wheelbarrows; follow manufacturer and safety instructions.
Site preparation: dig trenches, backfill, grade, spread gravel/sand, stake and string lines.
Erosion and concrete work support: formwork assembly, reinforcing bar placement under supervision, finishing help.

Required skills and attributes such as;  Physical stamina and strength; comfortable with repetitive lifting, kneeling, bending, climbing.
Basic knowledge of common tools and materials.
Ability to follow instructions, work safely and in a team.
Good punctuality and reliability.
