Key responsibilities:
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
Help with meal preparation and feeding, including meeting special dietary needs.
Assist with admission, discharge and patient positioning.
Support wound care and pressure area prevention routines (as directed).
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient records and handovers.
Follow infection prevention and control procedures, including PPE use and waste disposal.
Provide emotional support and companionship; promote patient independence and dignity.
Assist with transporting patients within the facility and basic equipment checks.
Required skills & Qualification
High school diploma or equivalent, Compassionate, patient‑centred attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
Good verbal and written communication.
Basic clinical skills (vital signs, urine/bedpan care, safe feeding).
Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns appropriately.
Safe manual handling and infection control practices.
