Laboratory Manager

Core responsibilities:

Manage inventory and procurement: reagents, consumables, spare parts, and vendor relationships.
Oversee equipment management: selection, validation, preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair coordination.
Financial oversight: prepare and manage lab budgets, control costs, approve purchases, track expenses.
Health & safety: conduct risk assessments, ensure proper PPE, maintain incident reporting and safety training.
Data integrity & recordkeeping: ensure accurate data capture, storage, backups, and audit readiness.
Support R&D or testing work: assist with experimental design, troubleshoot technical problems, and escalate scientific issues to senior scientists.
Reporting & communication: provide regular operational and KPI reports to departmental leadership; liaise with cross-functional partners (supply chain, facilities, QA, regulatory).

Required qualifications includes:   Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, clinical laboratory science, biomedical engineering, or related field,  Hands-on experience with lab equipment, QA/QC programs, SOPs, and LIMS or ELN systems,  Strong leadership, written and verbal communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
