Typical duties and responsibilities

Load/unload vehicles or trolleys; operate basic material-handling equipment (hand trucks, dollies).
Maintain clean, safe corridors and storage areas; remove waste/linen where applicable.
Assist with simple patient transfers or wheelchair/brancard handling (for medical settings) following protocols.
Record/track deliveries and report stock shortages or damage.
Respond to requests from staff, supervisors, or customers promptly and courteously.
Follow health & safety, infection-control, and site-specific procedures.

Typical qualifications and skills:  No formal degree required; high-school diploma often preferred.
Physical fitness and ability to lift/carry (specify weight limits per employer).
Good time management and reliability.
Basic communication skills; customer-service orientation for hospitality/airport roles.
Ability to follow instructions, read labels/tickets, and complete simple logs or electronic check-ins.
