Job Details
Works on a manufacturing or processing line, operating and monitoring equipment to produce goods safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Details vary by industry (food, chemicals, automotive, pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, packaging, etc.).
Core responsibilities:
Start up, run, adjust, and shut down production equipment according to standard operating procedures.
Watch gauges, control panels, or computer systems (DCS/PLC/SCADA) to ensure equipment runs within set parameters.
Take samples, perform basic tests/checks, and record readings to ensure products meet specifications.
Identify and respond to minor faults or deviations, and escalate major issues to maintenance/supervisors.
Requirement includes, High school Diploma or equivalent, attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures, physical stamina (standing, lifting, working in a plant environment), and good communication and teamwork skills.
