Core duties and responsibilities
Operate basic power and hand tools (saws, drills, jackhammers, trowels).
Assist tradespeople with setup, measurements, and holding/positioning materials.
Prepare and maintain job sites: remove debris, set up barricades, and keep walkways clear.
Mix, pour, finish concrete and help with formwork.
Erect and dismantle temporary structures (scaffolding, bracing) under supervision.
Follow construction plans, read basic layout lines, and help measure and mark.
Load trucks and help with deliveries; secure loads.
Required skills and attributes includes: Ability to follow verbal instructions and work in a team.
Basic math and measuring skills.
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors.
