Main Duties and Responsibilities
Food preparation: Washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, or portioning fruits, vegetables, meats, and other ingredients; preparing simple items such as salads, appetizers, sauces, soups, or beverages under supervision; measuring ingredients; and assisting with plating or garnishing.
Cleaning and hygiene: Sanitizing food preparation surfaces, workstations, floors, walls, utensils, cutting boards, appliances, and equipment; washing and storing dishes, pots, and pans; emptying garbage; and keeping refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas clean and organized.
