Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen by washing, sanitizing, and properly storing dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment and supports kitchen operations by keeping service areas organized and ensuring the kitchen has the necessary clean items to run efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashers or by hand.
Scrape, rinse, load, and run dishwashing cycles according to established procedures.
Clean and sanitize workstations, sinks, racks, trash/compactor areas, and other kitchen surfaces as required.
Assist with basic food-prep support tasks when needed (e.g., rinsing produce, organizing supplies, bussing items).
Monitor and restock dishwashing chemicals, paper products, and cleaning supplies as needed.
Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow routines/standards.
Comfort standing for long periods and performing repetitive lifting/scrubbing tasks.
Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
