Install, wire, test and commission electrical systems, components and fixtures in residential, commercial or industrial settings. Ensure work meets electrical codes, safety standards and project specifications while coordinating with electricians, site staff and engineers.
Key responsibilities:
Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints and schematics.
Install conduit, raceways, cable trays, wiring, outlets, switches, lighting, panels and low-voltage systems per plans.
Assemble, mount and wire distribution panels, breakers and control equipment.
Terminate and label cables; make up junctions and connections; install grounding systems.
Perform continuity, insulation resistance and functional tests using meters and testers.
Troubleshoot faults and perform corrective repairs or escalate to senior electrician/engineer.
Required qualifications & skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Vocational/technical training in electrical trades OR completion of an electrical installer apprenticeship, Electrical theory and wiring practices
Blueprint/schematic reading
Use of hand tools and test instruments (multimeter, clamp meter, megger, continuity tester)
Conduit bending and cable pulling
Safe working practices and PPE use
Communication and teamwork.
