Core Responsibilities:
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective (breakdown) maintenance on electrical systems, equipment, and machinery (motors, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, generators, UPS, distribution boards, lighting, etc.).
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults using tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic software; minimize downtime through rapid response and root-cause analysis.
Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance schedules and programs (often using CMMS systems).
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA, NEC/NFPA 70E, IEC, BS 7671/18th Edition Wiring Regulations, local codes, ATEX/Ex for hazardous areas).
Support installation, commissioning, upgrades, and modifications of electrical systems and equipment.
