Core responsibilities:
Assemble, align and install machinery and equipment; use hoists/cranes for heavy lifts.
Interpret blueprints, drawings and parts lists; fabricate simple parts as needed (lathe, mill, drill press, welding).
Perform basic electrical/PLC troubleshooting in coordination with controls technicians; isolate mechanical vs. control issues.
Maintain maintenance logs, parts inventory and service records; complete work orders and follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Collaborate with production, reliability and safety teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
Participate in continuous improvement.
Train junior maintenance staff and follow company safety and quality procedures.
Required skills & qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics and maintenance manuals.
Competence with hand and power tools, precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators), and lifting equipment.
Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings and alignment techniques.
Strong safety awareness: lockout/tagout, confined-space entry, PPE, and basic hazard recognition.
Physical ability: lift up to ~50 lbs regularly, stand/stoop/climb, work in noisy/hot/cold/dirty environments, work from heights when required.
