Core Responsibilities:
Supervise laundry staff (assign shifts, oversee workflow, coach/train employees)
Ensure quality control (cleanliness, stain removal outcomes, correct handling, no mix-ups)
Oversee sorting & processing of items by: fabric type
colour special handling needs (e.g., infected/soiled linens)
Monitor equipment operation (washers, dryers, extractors, ironers/folders, carts, carts/transport systems)
Maintain safety and sanitation standards (chemical handling, PPE use, infection-control procedures)
Manage laundry supplies and inventory.
Required Skills includes; Ability to work with procedures/checklists and enforce standards consistently
Knowledge of laundry operations (sorting, wash cycles, drying/finishing)
Basic understanding of chemicals and infection-control practices
Time management and workflow planning (high-volume environments)
Attention to detail.
