Primary responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate laundry staff (assign shifts, tasks, and monitor performance).
Ensure correct sorting of items (colours, fabrics, soiled levels) and proper handling of special items.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, stain removal, and processing quality (wash, dry, fold, press if applicable).
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laundry equipment (washers, dryers, extractors, irons, folders, steamers).
Track inventory of linen/consumables and coordinate replenishment (detergents, chemicals, protective gear).
Ensure correct use of chemicals (concentrations, dilution, labelling, storage) and safe disposal when needed.
Perform/oversee quality checks (right temperature cycles, odour control, leak-proof handling, final inspection).
Maintain accurate logs (work orders, machine maintenance, chemical usage, incident reports).
Schedule maintenance/repairs with vendors or internal maintenance teams.
Required Qualifications
No formal education is needed, Prior experience in laundry operations (supervisor/lead experience preferred).
Knowledge of laundry processes and equipment.
Ability to read procedures, safety labels (SDS), and basic production/quality standards.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
