Machine Operator

Set up machinery and tooling for production runs according to work orders and engineering drawings.
Start, monitor, and adjust machine controls (speed, feed, temperature, pressure, etc.) to maintain product quality and throughput.
Load/unload raw materials and finished parts; ensure correct part orientation and fixtures.
Inspect parts during and after production using gauges, micrometers, calipers, visual checks; record measurements and reject nonconforming parts.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and cleaning; report mechanical issues and coordinate repairs.
Maintain accurate production logs, scrap reports, and machine downtime records.

Required skills & competencies:

Basic mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
Ability to read simple engineering drawings and work instructions.
Competence with hand tools and common measuring instruments (caliper, micrometer, gauge).
Attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent quality.
Problem-solving and basic troubleshooting (identify cause of defects).
Good communication and teamwork.
