Core responsibilities
Inspect crane and rigging equipment before each shift (cables, hooks, brakes, hydraulics, safety devices)
Read load charts to determine safe lifting capacity based on boom angle, radius, and load weight
Communicate with signal persons, riggers, and ground crew using hand signals or radio
Operate controls to lift, swing, and lower loads precisely
Perform routine maintenance checks and report mechanical issues
