Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical code specifications
Install wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, switches, and lighting systems
Inspect electrical components (transformers, wiring, breakers) for hazards or defects
Test electrical systems using tools like voltmeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes
Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions
Follow national/state/local building and safety codes
Plan layouts for new electrical installations
Maintain and upgrade older electrical systems.
