Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Setup & Inspection
Selects and prepares rigging gear (ropes, chains, pulleys, cranes, slings, shackles)
Ensures all lifting equipment is in safe working condition
Load Preparation & Assessment
Evaluates weight, size, and shape of loads to determine rigging requirements
Secures loads safely to prevent shifting or accidents
Lifting & Movement
Attaches loads to lifting devices (cranes, hoists, winches)
Directs crane operators using hand signals or radio communication
Guides loads safely to their destination.
