Main Duties and Responsibilities
Safely operate the vehicle and transport passengers or cargo to designated destinations on schedule.
Plan and optimize routes using GPS/navigation apps, maps, and knowledge of traffic, road conditions, or construction.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (tires, fluids, lights, safety equipment) and report issues; carry out basic maintenance or arrange repairs; keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and ready.
Load, secure, unload, and (where applicable) pack goods or assist passengers with luggage; ensure items arrive undamaged.
Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel, deliveries, trips, payments, or incidents; communicate delays or problems to dispatchers or supervisors.
