Main Duties and Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair pipes, fittings, fixtures (sinks, toilets, showers, water heaters, garbage disposals), and related appliances.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building codes to plan layouts.
Diagnose problems such as leaks, clogs, low pressure, or system failures using gauges, cameras, and other tools.
Cut, bend, thread, solder, braze, weld, or press-fit pipes (copper, PEX, PVC, cast iron, etc.).
Test systems for leaks and code compliance (pressure tests, backflow prevention).
