Laundry Attendant

Key Responsibilities:

Sort laundry by fabric type, color, and cleaning requirements
Operate industrial washers, dryers, pressing/ironing equipment, and folding machines
Load and unload machines, monitor wash cycles, and add detergents/chemicals correctly
Inspect items for stains, damage, or tears; treat stains or set aside items needing repair
Fold, press, and package clean linens/uniforms for storage or delivery
Deliver clean laundry to designated departments or rooms; collect soiled items
Maintain inventory of linens and supplies; report shortages
Keep laundry area clean, organized, and compliant with sanitation/safety standards
Follow proper handling procedures for soiled or contaminated linens (especially in healthcare settings)
