Core responsibilities / duties
Monitor equipment, gauges, and processes; adjust machine parameters to maintain quality and throughput.
Perform in-process quality inspections (visual, dimensional, weight, sample testing) and record results.
Load/unload raw materials, components, and finished goods; stage materials for production.
Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs; escalate complex issues to maintenance/engineers.
Execute first-line preventive maintenance tasks (cleaning, lubrication, routine adjustments).
Follow safety procedures, wear required PPE, and report hazards, incidents, or near-misses.
Maintain accurate production, quality, and downtime logs (paper or electronic).
Participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities and assist with root-cause investigations.
Maintain line cleanliness and organization (5S) and assist with inventory counts as needed.
