Rigger

Read lift plans, engineering drawings, and load charts; calculate rigging capacity and center-of-gravity.
Select and inspect rigging equipment (slings, shackles, hooks, spreader bars, chain hoists, wire rope).
Set up and secure loads, rigging systems, taglines, and guiding lines.
Signal/communicate with crane operators and crew (hand signals, radios).
Perform pre-lift and post-lift inspections and document equipment condition.
Safely dismantle rigging and return gear to inventory.
Train/mentor less experienced riggers and enforce safe work procedures.
