Carpenter

Core responsibilities:

Measure, cut, shape, and join wood, plastic, drywall, and other materials.
Assemble and install forms, frameworks, scaffolding, doors, windows, cabinets, and trim.
Build and erect walls, floors, roofs (framing), and finish work (molding, trim, staircases).
Lay out and mark cutting/fastening lines, apply finishes, and make repairs.
Inspect and replace damaged wooden structures/components.
Coordinate with contractors, electricians, plumbers, and site supervisors.

Required technical skills & knowledge such as:  Proficient with hand tools (chisels, hammers, planes) and power tools (saws, routers, nail guns).
Blueprint reading and basic construction math (angles, geometry, measurements).
Knowledge of framing, sheathing, finishing, and joinery techniques.
Familiarity with building codes, material properties, and fastening methods.
Ability to operate lifting equipment/scaffold when required.
