Operate mobile, tower, or overhead cranes to lift and move loads
Inspect crane equipment before, during, and after use (cables, hooks, brakes, hydraulics)
Read load charts to determine safe lifting capacities
Coordinate with signal persons, riggers, and ground crew using hand signals or radio
Follow site safety protocols and OSHA (or local equivalent) regulations
Perform routine maintenance checks and report mechanical issues
Keep logs of crane usage, inspections, and maintenance
Plan lift paths to avoid obstacles, power lines, and other hazards.
