Core duties and responsibilities:
Greet guests, present menus, explain specials and take food and beverage orders accurately.
Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally (course timing, clearing, refills).
Set, clear and reset tables; maintain dining-room presentation and cleanliness.
Follow menu specifications and special-diet requests (allergies, vegetarian/vegan, halal, kosher).
Upsell daily specials and premium items when appropriate.
Handle billing, payment and service charges; follow ship procedures for tabs and gratuities.
Respond quickly and politely to guest requests and complaints; escalate to supervisors as needed.
