Cyber security Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring & Detection — Watch SIEM dashboards, IDS/IPS alerts, and logs for suspicious activity in real time
Incident Response — Investigate security alerts, contain breaches, and lead remediation efforts
Vulnerability Management — Run vulnerability scans, prioritize patching, and coordinate fixes with IT teams
Threat Intelligence — Track emerging threats, malware trends, and attacker tactics (TTPs) relevant to the organization
Risk Assessment — Evaluate systems and processes for security gaps; recommend controls
Compliance & Auditing — Support standards like ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, HIPAA, or GDPR
Security Awareness — Sometimes train staff on phishing recognition and safe practices
Reporting — Document incidents and communicate risk to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
