Core duties:
Create and explain treatment plans; prescribe medications (antibiotics, analgesics).
Perform minor oral surgery when indicated.
Oversee infection control and sterilization protocols.
Coordinate with dental hygienists, assistants and lab technicians.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and prevention.
Maintain patient records, billing, and compliance with regulations.
Key skills & Education
Degree: DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) or DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) from an accredited dental school (usually 4 years after undergraduate prerequisites), Clinical skills and manual dexterity.
Diagnostic reasoning and attention to detail.
Good hand–eye coordination and fine motor control.
