Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems (motors, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, UPS, generators, lighting, control panels).
Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults: power distribution, drives (VFDs), PLCs/controls, instrumentation, and motor control circuits.
Conduct electrical testing & diagnostics (insulation resistance, motor testing, thermography, power quality).
Maintain and update maintenance records, single-line diagrams, and electrical BOMs; log work in CMMS.
Implement and follow lockout/tagout and electrical safety procedures; ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards.
Support shutdowns, turnarounds, and installation/commissioning of new equipment.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and reliability teams to analyze failures and implement corrective actions (root cause analysis).
Required skills & Qualification
Degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or equivalent trade certification, Strong electrical theory knowledge: power distribution, protection relays, transformers, motors, VFDs.
Hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
PLC and HMI experience (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider commonly).
Ability to read electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and schematics.
Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, Infor).
Use of test equipment: multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester, power analyzer, thermal camera, oscilloscope.
Good communication, teamwork, and technical report writing.
