Key responsibilities:
Fold, press, mend minor tears/buttons, or prepare items for pressing/repair.
Inspect finished items for cleanliness and damage; rewash or report as needed.
Package and label cleaned items for delivery or storage; maintain inventory of linens.
Maintain laundry area cleanliness, dispose of lint and waste, and perform routine equipment cleaning.
Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards; assist with minor routine maintenance.
Follow health, safety, and infection-control protocols (especially in healthcare settings).
Provide courteous customer service when interacting with guests or clients.
Required skills & qualifications
No formal degree required.
Basic knowledge of laundry chemicals, detergents, and fabric care symbols.
Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely.
Physical stamina — able to lift 25–50+ lbs, stand for long periods, bend, and carry loads.
Attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.
Time management and ability to work with minimal supervision.
